Flamenco "tablaos flamencos", an indisputable tourist attraction for the Region of Madrid
The Association of Tablaos Flamencos de Madrid signs an agreement with Region of Madrid to promote flamenco tablaos under the international tourism brand "Tablaos Flamencos in Greater Madrid".
In order to carry out this promotional strategy, an analysis has been carried out to measure the importance of flamenco as a tourist resource in relation to the entire cultural offer of Madrid and other destinations.
Madrid, December 5, 2022.- The Association of Tablaos Flamencos de Madrid ( ATFM), thanks to the agreement with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Region of Madrid, has prepared a diagnosis on the state of its activity as a tourist product and that allows to know more precisely the target tourist post pandemic.
The study is the starting point of the promotional strategy for Madrid's tablaos flamencos, which will be fully deployed during 2023. This diagnosis, which has served as the basis and starting point for the design of the marketing and promotional strategy for Madrid's tablaos flamencos, includes an internal analysis to measure the importance of flamenco as a tourist resource, a benchmarking of competing destinations, the cultural offer of Madrid and an analysis of the data provided by the association's tablaos.
For its preparation, several interviews have been carried out with agents of the tourism sector and an analysis of weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities has been carried out, from which different strategic lines of action have been proposed:
Improve the positioning of the tablao as a cultural and leisure option.
Strengthening the work of the ATFM
Improving the competitiveness of tablaos
Create a specific product for the MICE segment (professional tourism associated with meetings, incentives, congresses and events).
Reinforce the interconnection of the tourist offer of the territory (Region of Madrid) with the flamenco tablaos.
Prestigate flamenco among the national public and young people.
A new brand dedicated to the promotion of flamenco tablaos in Madrid
As part of this strategy, the international tourism brand "Tablaos Flamencos in Greater Madrid" has been created, linking flamenco tablaos with the destination Region of Madrid and with its international tourism brand "Greater Madrid", all under the umbrella of the UNESCO declaration of Flamenco as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
A web platform that brings together all the information on flamenco and Madrid
The web tablaosflamencosingreatermadrid.comin Spanish and English, offers simple and unified access to all the information on the association's tablaos, artists and shows, as well as reports on the Region of Madrid as a tourist destination, linking flamenco, declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity on November 16, 2010, with the five UNESCO World Heritage Sites located in the Madrid region.
The project is supported by five social networks from which the dissemination of the offer of flamenco tablaos in Madrid will be promoted from now on: Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin.
