Centro Cultural Flamenco de Madrid
El Centro Cultural Flamenco is presented as an intimate space designed for the flamenco art to reach your soul and change you forever.
Tradition, passion and exquisite acoustics are part of the DNA of a space in which to enjoy artists at a short distance, without loudspeakers and without drinks or food interfering with the enjoyment of an art that is difficult not to be moved by.
The Centro Cultural Flamenco de Madrid was born in 2019 thanks to Rosana de Aza, who after many years of experience as director of the Casa de la Memoria in Seville, founds this prestigious space. In April 2022, the Cultural Center begins a new stage, with two great active artists, Lisi Sfair and Pedro Córdoba, who have served as owners and directors since then.
A reduced and intimate seating capacity that allows perfect visibility from all the chairs allows the audience to enjoy in comfort in an air-conditioned and accessible space for people with reduced mobility. The traditional staging and emotions are assured in a piece of own production, full of dance and song, in which the Spanish guitar accompanies performers dressed in shawls, castanets, tambourines and tailed gowns.
The building in which the Centro Cultural Flamenco de Madrid is located is a 19th century manor house that has been recently restored, without losing its historic granite and solid brick walls. The performances take place every day of the week, with a duration of one hour in which the guitar merges with the performer and his selection of dances, where shawls, castanets, tambourines and batas de cola abound in front of a maximum capacity of 54 people per session.
Presentations, lectures, flamenco fashion shows and exhibitions are a regular feature of its agenda. In addition, the public can explore the venue's art gallery and store before or after the show.
