Tablao La Carmela

Located in the former Convent de la Victoria, less than 200 meters from the Puerta del Sol, the Tablao La Carmela is a mystical place full of history.

Directed by maestro Juan Andrés Maya and bailaora Raquel Martos, in this dream setting it is possible to enjoy first class artists while stimulating the senses with traditional cuisine in the middle of the old coal cellars of the Taberna 'La Carmela'.

In the same facilities that once housed a convent demolished after the War of Independence to later become the Taberna 'La Carmela', today is located a tablao that opened its doors in 2021. Undoubtedly, a breath of fresh air for all lovers of the genre at a time when different centers dedicated to the genre closed their doors as a result of the crisis caused by the COVID-19.

The best voices and experts in flamenco guitar come together in a space with a unique atmosphere that has already been visited by great Spanish artists such as María Toledo or Lolita Flores and in which contemporary artists such as Belén López or Kiki Morente have performed.

In a cozy atmosphere with beautiful vaulted ceilings in what looks like a subway cave, you can enjoy excellent acoustics where the audience feels every beat of the cajón and strumming of the guitar, with lighting that makes the experience even more magical.

With tickets for sale differentiated by zones (general, preferential and VIP) and a drink included in each ticket, La Carmela Restaurant offers four menus with which to try some of the star dishes of Spanish gastronomy, as well as different wines or a snack menu with typical products such as an assortment of Iberian products. If you want to surprise, ask for a gift card and make your family's day.
