Experience in Madrid a trip back in time is possible in countless ways. Today we focus on telling you about the experience that recreates and recalls the route of the first railroad of the Region of Madrid. Built in 1851 on the orders of Queen Isabella II to connect the capital with the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, it was part of a larger project: to link the capital with the Mediterranean. This train of wooden carriages with balconies, unique in Spain, was the means of transport for the Madrid bourgeoisie to enjoy the palace gardens.

Available during spring and autumn and with different itineraries, the trip on the Strawberry Train is an immersive experience that features characters that accompany passengers during the trip, bathing everything in history and anecdotes. As a curiosity, this train ride allows you to see the Ribera del Tajo, a privileged location where the famous Huerta de Aranjuezwhere homegrown products are cultivated for their excellence.
