This is how we celebrate the International Day of Flamenco!

The artists of our tablaos go out to bring "jondo" art all over Madrid.

November 16 marks the International Day of Flamenco, the date on which Unesco recognized this art form as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010. in 2010.

To celebrate this thirteenth anniversary, from Tablaos Flamencos in Greater Madrid we wanted to surprise the people of Madrid by bringing the flamenco of the tablaos to the streets by some of our best performers, who spontaneously and unnoticed performed in emblematic spaces of the capital, transmitting the passion and joy of flamenco to all those who passed by on such a special date.

The tour began in the morning with a stellar trio: the bailaora Ana Belén Álvarez Morenoguitarist José Almarcha Márquez José Almarcha Márquez and the cantaor José Luis Hernández Pérez, who woke up the passers-by in Puerta del Sol with a lot of flamenco art in the middle of the iconic square of Madrid.

At midday the artists put on a good show in two of the most emblematic markets of the city: the San Miguel Market and the Antón Martín Market.

Surely no one would have ever imagined enjoying a flamenco performance by artists of the highest level while buying fruits and vegetables, or even being able to dance with a professional bailaora in the middle of the market.

In the afternoon, three other great performers continued to take the streets of Madrid as a stage. The cantaor Juan Rodríguez Carrasco "Juañarito" , the guitaristguitarist Jonatan García Giménez Jonatan García Giménez and the bailaor Nino de los Reyes took the celebration to unusual places, such as under the great dome of the Palace Hotel in Madridwhere tourists and locals alike were able to enjoy the spontaneous performance.

The tour continued with Flamenco music in the Retiro Park at sunset, part of the Landscape of Light of Madrid.

And it ended in style at the Sky Bar of the Hotel Riu Plaza de Españawhere, once again, locals and tourists enjoyed the best flamenco with the stunning views of Madrid as a backdrop.

Undoubtedly, it was an exciting and unforgettable day for all the locals and tourists who, by surprise, were able to taste the best flamenco in Madrid. Madrid and join in the celebration.
